Puppet Turnaround

For those of y'all who don't follow my Tumblr (which you really should- I post art every day! theninoru.tumblr.com), I've been working on a stop motion puppet for a stop mo class I've been taking here in school. This is a turnaround from a design I made! Our theme is sideshow, so I made a majestic merman named Enzo. He is so dang cute. Back story time!!

Once upon a time, a million years ago, at a point in time where sideshows are still relevant, there was this guy (still working on names), and he was just some homeless dude who didn’t really know what to do or where to go with his life. One day, he decided to take a refreshing swim in the ocean to think and reflect about his life and what he wanted to do. While inconclusive, a fish came over and tried to eat him. Completely neutral towards what was happening, (insert name here) just shoved his legs through the fish and walked out of the ocean calmly. This disruptive event in his life left him ever more confused than before, so he decided to sit alone in an alleyway and contemplate life some more.

“Hey, guy.” 

He looked up serenely at a dirty, but fancy man in a top hat. 

“Wanna make some money?” 

He nodded calmly, and the dirty, but fancy man in a top hat handed him a trashy, blonde wig. 

“Welcome to the sideshow business.”
